A little bit of everything...

So, it's been a crazy couple of weeks...ok, maybe not crazy, just busy. Busy is good though, right? So here's some of the stuff we've been up too....

SEWING
I've taken up sewing, using what ever knowledge I can remember from high school! I sewed a halloween apron for my best friend, Tami's birthday! (Forgot to take a picture though, so I'll have to show you another one that I'm finishing up on now that is out of the same fabric.) I just bought some apparel fabric that was 50% off at Jo-Ann's to make pants and a maxi skirt that is actually long enough for us tall people! I think it may even come out cheeper than if I bought it in the store, which is always good. Anyway, if I really start to like this sewing thing, then I might just take some classes...feels so domestic!

HALLOWEEN - Pinterest
Started preparing my decorations for Halloween back in August! "What?" you say! I know...but this year I tried to get "crafty" (thanks to pinterest) and save some money by purchasing things from the dollar store and just spray painting them to make them look like I want for like 90% cheaper than if you bought it somewhere else! My best idea yet, was going into the canyon to find some creepy looking branches and just spray painting them black, then covering them with dollar store web stuff. I'll have some pictures to post later on today, a wind storm came through, so I need to fix some of the spider webs. Looks great though! We love to decorate for Halloween, which you will see in the pictures!

ETSY - Calley Flower Designs
I have been cranking out some new designs on Etsy!  I absolutely love designing and creating, so it has become a wonderful outlet and motivation for me.

PRESCHOOL
Mason is going to preschool and will be starting Kindergarden next year! It's amazing all the things he has been learning....types of spiders, outer space, sounds of vowels and letters...he's reading simple words and tries to sound out the big ones! Every now and then he will say something to me in spanish! I look at Kenzie and then at Mason and I'm stunned at how big he is and how smart he's become! My little man!

DAN THE RUNNING MAN
Dan's has been a running man this summer! He ran his first Ragnar relay race back in June, and then ran a rivalry relay back in August, which his team won FIRST place in! Yeah Dan!!! I wish I had pictures, but the race organizers didn't post any...so sad.

MACKENZIE
This little girl is 7 months old now and she is changing everyday! Not crawling yet, but she's sitting up really good and rolling around. Funniest thing is that she loves my diet dr. pepper cans! I can't drink one when I'm holding her or she has a fit if I don't let her play with it. I hope this isn't a sign of a DDP addiction like her Momma!

So, here's some pictures from the last couple of weeks of this and that....

This is from when we went up to Snowbird for a night during Octoberfest

Porter and Caleb (our neighbor's sons) had a fire truck themed birthday party last weekend.  They had the fire department come over with the fire truck and taught all the kids about fire safety...it was a lot of fun to watch!

Future Fire Chief!

Here are the little one's in their church outfits last Sunday. I didn't realized that I had matched their outfits until we were at church...ha!
