Family Trip to SoCal

We took our first official family trip this past May to Southern California (Newport Beach and Disneyland). There were three families...us and our two neighbors (the Wrights and the Bagleys). We had such a great time and thanks to the Wrights working at Marriott, we were able to afford to stay at a beautiful villa that is basically a two bedroom apartment, which made traveling with a newborn a breeze! It was especially fun to see Mason experience many firsts...the ocean and Disneyland. Disneyland was a first for me as well, so I was right there with him! I just want to say that Tower of Terror was terrifying! What a blast! I think we have an annual trip in the making!

I took a lot of pictures and video, so if you click on the link (Southern Cali Photo Gallery) it will direct you to my online gallery...

  1. All these pictures are SO CUTE!! Mason is getting so good at posing for pictures! And every picture of him hugging Mickey is just about the sweetest thing I've ever seen. I'm so glad you guys had fun!

    1. Thank you Emma! Oh, he totally is...of course how can he not with the amount of pictures I take! Ha! He was so so happy to see Mickey! About a month before we went to Disney, I bought a little Mickey and did a "Mickey on the shelf" just like the whole elf on the shelf thing. Not sure if you are familiar with it, but it is this little elf that Santa sends to watch you and make sure you are being good. You place him somewhere and then move him at night to another spot so that it looks like the elf went to report back to Santa and then came back to a different spot in the morning. He loved it, so I did the same thing with Mickey. He was so excited to see Mickey in a different spot every morning! We miss you and I feel really bad that we never got to go to that Keys on main place before you left! Hope you are doing good out there! Also, do you have a blog? If so, I want to follow it...invite me! Oh and tell James "Hi" for me!
