Happy Halloween 2012
Halloween this year was a blast! I got super creative this year with the set up outside and thought I really took it to a whole other level! Everyone seems to think its funny that we have a budget each year for our halloween decorating...we just love to have fun with it! It's the only holiday that you can get super creative and stage your house however you want! We really added the atmosphere this year with the branches (free) and spider webbing. The dollar store has some really great finds that you can jazz up with a little spray paint! I may have gone a little crazy on the spray painting, but it's how you make something ordinary to extraordinary! There are still things I wasn't able to get done this year, but there is always next year. I got a little burned out too due to the wind storms constantly rolling through and messing up all my webs...lesson learned for next year (wait until the week of to put up the exposed webs!) So anyway, we may have made our house a bit too spooky with all the really young ones in our neighborhood, but Dan was good about being super nice to them.
So, there were 2 highlights this year, Mason now sprints from house to house (note to self: my kid will run like the dickens when the reward is CANDY) and I had a 12 year old say to me, "Don't you think you over did it on the decorations?" (Really kid, how old are you? I'll take my candy back please if you are going to be like that!) So on that note, here's a collection of photos from HALLOWEEN 2012...(cue creepy laugh at the end of the song "Thriller")
