ONE DAY

Back in the days of my younger years, I was surrounded by a different tune than what is out there today. It seemed like there was a bigger agenda in some of the songs my parents and brother filled the room with...such as the Beatles, Bob Marley, Chicago, Janis Joplin...ect. But no matter what era songs where written, I love when a song comes around that gives me goosebumps and just simply makes me smile. As most of my family and friends know I love my girl Brandi Carlile, and she has some fantastic lyrics, but a couple of months ago I decided to look up an old singer I used to listen too years ago, named Matisyahu. Well, one of their newest songs, "One Day" blew my mind! I have to admit, reading the lyrics may have even brought a tear to my eye...I'm a softy! Not only does it have a great reggae beat, which reminds me of my days back in Florida, but it has a great message. And get this, they are a Jewish reggae band! Anyway, I'm sharing the lyrics with you now AND posting the design I made with the lyrics!!!

Then I pray don't take me soon, cause I'm here for a reason. Sometimes in my tears I drown, but I never let it get me down. So when negativity surrounds I know some day it'll all turn around because all my life I've been waiting for, I've been praying for...for the people to say that we dont wanna fight no more, they'll be no more wars and our children will play.

It's not about win or lose because we all lose when they feed on the souls of the innocent, blood drenched pavement. Keep on moving though the waters stay raging. In this maze you can lose your way, it might drive you crazy but don't let it faze you no way. Sometimes in my tears I drown, but I never let it get me down. So my negativity surrounds I know some day it'll all turn around because all my life I've been waiting for I've been praying for...for the people to say that we dont wanna fight no more, they'll be no more wars and our children will play

One day this all will change. Treat people the same. Stop with the violence Down the the hate. One day we'll all be free and proud to be under the same sun singing songs of freedom like
